Our regularly scheduled club meeting.

This week Jim Van Winkle will be giving a talk on “Wonders of the Winter Sky”.

A tour of the astronomical wonders of the winter sky, with emphasis on things that can be seen with the naked eye or with binoculars. The discussion will cover some of the more interesting constellations, unusual stars, nebulae where star birth is occurring, and a little of the mythology behind the constellations. We will also be discussing comet Lovejoy which will be making an appearance through out January.

The public is encouraged to attend!

The Barnes & Noble bookstore located on the East side of Valencia Blvd, between Magic Mountain Pkwy and Creekside Rd.

The club holds it's monthly meetings here. As you enter, the meeting room is to the left.

This Barnes & Noble bookstore also has a Starbucks so feel free to pick up a latte before the meeting.
