Due to the high clouds we are cancelling the astronomy club part of this event.

The Great American Camp-out at Central Park.

Always a big hit. Open to the public by registration only. Register through Santa Clarita Parks and Rec.

It’s going to be a great night with Saturn, Jupiter and Venus all visible. Jupiter and Venus will be having a close conjunction low in the west which will be a special treat!

The moon will be 3/4 illuminated so deep sky objects will be challenging.

Solar telescopes will be set up by the campsites from 4-8pm. Astronomy scopes will be set up by the basketball courts from 9-11pm. (We can probably stay as late as we want.) The lights at the basketball courts and surrounding area will be turned off.

Solar scope setup at 4pm, Telescope setup at 8pm.
