Our first star party of 2016. These are always a great event with lots of telescopes in a wonderful setting.

Ok, we are going to call it. The weather folks are sticking to their story of cloudy all day and rain this evening. Our next scheduled Vasquez Star Party is on April 9th. Hopefully we'll see you next time!

The site of our quarterly public star parties.

Enter the park via the main gate, turn left at the ranger station and continue to the end of the road past the large rocks.

Notes:

This is a County Park so please be mindful of the rules. aka, no alcohol. No smoking of any kind except in your vehicle. The park normally closes at sundown but during our Star Parties, we make special arrangements to have the gates open until the event concludes. Also, please stay at the event after dark. The rest of the park is not open to the public after dark and you will be asked to leave if you stray from the event area.
