Our meeting will include two interesting presentations. The first, by David Ciardi, will be about exoplanets – planets that revolve around stars other than our own Sun. David will also introduce us to the American Association of Variable Star Observers (AAVSO) - an organization comprised largely of amateur astronomers who track the variation in brightness of stars over time. The data they collect can be used by astronomers for a variety of research areas, including the study of exoplanets!
Club vice president, Simon Tang, will give the second of a series of presentations and hands-on sessions in astrophotography. In this session, Simon will explain, in an interactive presentation, essential concepts that are key to the understanding and practice of successful astrophotography.

The Barnes & Noble bookstore located on the East side of Valencia Blvd, between Magic Mountain Pkwy and Creekside Rd.

The club holds it's monthly meetings here. As you enter, the meeting room is to the left.

This Barnes & Noble bookstore also has a Starbucks so feel free to pick up a latte before the meeting.
