Details:

One of our great public Star Parties. Sunset is at 8pm so this will be a late one. Please plan to arrive before dark. We'll likely have solar scopes out until sunset. Venus will be up for a little while after sunset and of course Saturn will be the main event.

UPDATE: Looks like the smoke level is OK but it might be a bit windy. We are still on for tonight as of noon today.

Enter the park via the main gate, turn left at the ranger station and continue to the end of the road past the large rocks.

Notes:

This is a County Park so please be mindful of the rules. aka, no alcohol. No smoking of any kind except in your vehicle. The park normally closes at sundown but during our Star Parties, we make special arrangements to have the gates open until the event concludes. Also, please stay at the event after dark. The rest of the park is not open to the public after dark and you will be asked to leave if you stray from the event area.
