UPDATE: The weather forecast suggests partly cloudy skies with temps in the low 60s to high 50s. There will be some wind hopefully dropping off around sunset. This event is ON for tonight.

Join us for one of our quarterly free public star parties. We will have lots of telescopes set up viewing planets, nebulae, star clusters and distant galaxies. We will also be having our regular telescope workshops beginning at 3pm. If you have a telescope that you need help getting set up, bring it out to this event early and we'll help you get it working.

Sundown is at 5:05pm. Please arrive before then if at all possible and park in the upper lot (by the big rocks) so your lights don't blind us when you depart.

Enter the park via the main gate, turn left at the ranger station and continue to the end of the road past the large rocks.

Notes:

This is a County Park so please be mindful of the rules. aka, no alcohol. No smoking of any kind except in your vehicle. The park normally closes at sundown but during our Star Parties, we make special arrangements to have the gates open until the event concludes. Also, please stay at the event after dark. The rest of the park is not open to the public after dark and you will be asked to leave if you stray from the event area.
