Hey, we are going up to Lockwood Valley to do some observing (and perhaps beat the heat) this Friday night. Come up and join us! It's almost a new moon so it should be a great time for some dark sky observing.

Sunset is at 8:08pm.

Location Info:

Keep going up the road (NF-8N04) past the ranger station. There is a paved parking lot a short distance up the road on the right.

Restrooms are pit toilets (but usually amazingly clean.)

Notes:

National Forest. According to the ranger, no Adventure Pass is required for this site.
