7:00 PM Presentation: "Planetary Imaging". Presenter: Greg Lewis

This presentation will be principally about imaging the planet Saturn.
Local Group member Greg Lewis will describe how a relatively new amateur astronomer went about learning how to get planetary images. This will include 1) describing the hardware (telescopes, mounts, cameras, etc.) used, 2) the techniques and software for capturing the images, and 3) the post-processing (more software) needed to get the final image.
In addition to discussing the process for imaging Saturn, techniques for capturing images of other solar system objects will be shown, including Jupiter, the Earth’s moon, sunspots, comet Neowise, and meteors.
We look forward to seeing you at the meeting!
